aBOUT THE FOUNDER

Carlos Lopez. Partner and President

Before founding Blue Oasis Development, Carlos dedicated 18 years to building a successful career in the luxury hospitality industry, where he developed strong skills in management, teamwork, and achieving outstanding results.

His career began with InterContinental Hotels Group in El Salvador, where he earned the prestigious award of “The Best of the Best InterContinental Brand Front Office Manager of the Year” for Latin America. Later, as General Manager of two Choice International Hotels in El Salvador, his leadership and results consistently stood out.

In 2015, Carlos moved to Roatán to take on the role of General Manager at the Grand Roatán Caribbean Resort. During his 8 years at the resort, he oversaw daily operations while being deeply involved in its expansion and renovation projects. Although his role in construction was primarily supportive, his close collaboration with architects, contractors, and engineers gave him deep insight into the construction process. Projects such as the addition of a 5-star spa, 59 luxury hotel rooms, a fine dining restaurant, multiple bars, meeting spaces, and the remodeling of 28 condos and 20 junior suites gave him a hands-on understanding of the complexities of construction and development.

This immersive experience sparked Carlos’s passion for construction and development. Inspired by the knowledge he gained and the critical role teamwork plays in successful projects, Carlos founded Blue Oasis Development in 2023. Initially focused on in-house projects, Blue Oasis Development has since grown to share its expertise with clients looking to bring their real estate visions to life. Today, Carlos and his team are dedicated to delivering high-quality, tailored solutions that merge innovation, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
